We are working on a combination of raised & in ground beds with a variety of annuals & perennials as well as some fruit trees. The focus on our garden will be on herbs and edible flowers for the restaurant as well as developing a diverse ecosystem for our pollinators.
B E E S
We have partnered with Bee KC to have six beehives on site. Honey and pollen will be used in the restaurant, and the ecological benefit will be felt for miles around.

We are about to take our parking lot parties to the next level! Whole hog, lamp, maybe event barbecue parties in the garden coming soon.

The Garden is a work in process. Fruit trees, berry bushes, more perennials for pollinators are coming soon.
Across the street from the restaurant is the lot that we have taken over as the Fox and Pearl Garden. For the first couple of years we had the restaurant, we stared at an empty lot. The lot was an eyesore, with a long abandoned and broken swing set, broken bottles and a lot of trash. We saw potential, we saw a space that could be an urban garden to further connect to our community and directly to our food. When we started the garden we had very simple goals; to beautify the neighborhood, to create a garden that could supplement some of the produce needs of the restaurant, to donate the excess to those in need and to create an intentional space for events, community gathering and education.
